About India
India's hugely varied, culture, religion, geography and
history all combine to make it one of the most fascinating and diverse
countries in the world. This expedition is a fantastic opportunity to
experience the spiritual side of India, its varied people and
luscious landscape.
South
India is vastly different place to the landlocked mountains and
deserts of the north. With thousands of kilometers of coastlines surrounding
fertile plains and the gentle hills of the Western Ghats, South
India offers an opportunity to experience a more laidback way of
life: tropical backwaters, accessible trekking, wildlife watching and Hindu
temples.
With its wealth of natural and historical attractions,
colourful and vibrant India
will stimulate every sense and makes for a great expedition destination. Teams
will be based in the southern most state of Kerala. It is hot all year
round with dry and wet (monsoon) seasons. The monsoon (June - August),
although making for a wet and humid period, brings out the beauty in rural India,
turning everything a beautiful lush green.
